Pups on the Patio takes place every 1st Saturday of each month until
September 1, 2012. The next Pups on the Patio is September 1st @ 6:00 pm.
The next season will begin February 2, 2013.
Pet owners can bring their dogs to socialize while enjoying live music on the patios of participating, dog friendly restaurants. Pups on the Patio will take place on Ruby Street in the Downtown Tavares Waterfront Entertainment District.
A "Pawsport" can be purchased for a $10 donation. The Pawsport entitles the purchaser to 4 alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks, one at each of the following restaurants: Okeefe's Irish Pub, Ruby Street Grille, Al's Landing and Al's Dockside Barbeque. Pawsports are good anytime until 12/31/12 and can be purchased at The Green K9 and all participating businesses.

Visit the following pet rescue groups who will be on hand to meet and greet a few of their wonderful pets available for adoption: South Lake Animal League, Houndhaven, Greyhound Pets of America Senior Sanctuary, Max's Pet Connection, Florida Boxer Rescue, VIP Rescue, The Cat Protection Society, Buddies Thru Bullies and Ruff Times Rescue. Each group will be raffling prizes, and the drawings will be held at 8:00 pm. Winners do not need to be present to win.
The Green K9 and O'Keefe's Restaurant will host a dog wash under a water misting and wading pool tent. Dog washes are from $5 - $15, depending on the dog's size.
Plenty of food and vendors to enjoy such as, a Kanine Kissing Booth and Free advice from Veterinarian, Christine Cassidy.
All non-aggressive, leashed dogs are welcomed. When attending public dog events, pet owners should assure their dog is at least 4 months old and current on their vaccinations, including Bordatella and flea and tick preventatives.
